what is alumni access?
Alumni of the Film Scoring Academy of Europe join a consortium of over 100 composers from 37 different countries who have participated in the Film Scoring Summer Program, the Online Graduate Diploma in Film and Game Scoring, or the Master of Fine Arts in Music for Motion Pictures and Contemporary Media. Our goal is to provide alumni with continuing education opportunities, ongoing benefits, as well as a connection to their colleagues on both a professional and social level.

American composer, producer, and vocalist Christopher Gillard recently completed the MFA program in 2021 and is also an alum of the Film Scoring Summer Program in 2019. He currently resides in the suburbs of Boston after 17 years in New York City. His prior studies include earning his undergraduate degree in Media Production with triple minors in music, theatre, and dance from Florida State University, as well as a certification in Audio Engineering from the Recording Connection Audio Institute. With a background in pop, rock, and hip hop, Christopher found his love for film scoring through his work in musical theatre, where he has earned off-Broadway credits as a composer, sound designer, pit musician, and actor. Christopher is currently writing his first original musical, and enjoying the success of Silent Partner, a short film he scored which has been awarded Best Short Film at three festivals this year (so far) Christopher is immensely grateful to both the MFA and Summer Programs for helping him expand his compositional “toolbox” and craft his own unique musical voice.
Ireland / Germany
Irish/German composer Udo Grunewald has been a professional freelance bassist for over ten years playing in a variety of groups throughout Ireland. However, with the Covid pandemic he found himself (like many other creatives) unable to work. Fortunately, this gave him a chance to pursue his passion for film music, so he enrolled and graduated in 2021 from the FSAE flagship online program in Film and Game Scoring. He is currently back playing and recording with various musical outfits and is currently in talks with an Irish book company about providing music for a planned audio book series.
Garrett is an Irish composer and music producer currently residing in Dublin, Ireland. He is a two time participant of the Film Scoring Summer Program, graduating in 2019 and 2020. He is also a graduate from Dundalk Institute of Technology, where he studied Sound Design and Implementation for Interactive Media. Garrett is currently reenrolled at Pulse College, where he is studying Post Production and Sound Design, whilst also obtaining his Pro Tools vendor qualifications.
